Heritage Fairs is an initiative that encourages students to explore Canadian heritage in a dynamic, hands-on learning environment. Students use the medium of their choice to tell stories about Canadian heroes, legends, milestones, and achievements. They then present the findings of their research at a local Heritage Fair with the potential opportunity to present at a board Heritage Fair

You will be choosing a topic that represents Canadian Heritage. You can use the media of your choice 

Big Idea and Guiding questions that you are attempting to answer through this project:
How have the interactions between different communities within Canada impacted its development as a nation? Access the consequence between these interactions from different perspectives (positive and negative)

Poetry WorkshopThe Students in Room 308 will be participating in a two day workshop with a spoken word poet Tanya Neumeyer.  During this two day workshop they will be engaging in writing poetry, using elements of poetry, performing and learning about the art of spoken word poetry.  Students will be coving part of the cost of the workshop; each students will bring in $11 (Due Monday Feb 5-Past Due)
