Wow an amazing week of learning from learning to code with Minecraft to building on our understanding of the scientific process.  Finally today we discovered and investigated the biodiversity within Cedarvale Park.

Our goal next week is to consider how we use our time in class and on task behaviour.

Thank you to Ms. Shumate for an amazing week of learning that you have provided the students

So excited about the learning we did this week- as a class we engaged with the scientific method and conducted our first experiment (mentos in soda).  We continued to develop our understanding of fractions in problems and learning how to deconstruct it using a KWC.  As a class community we continued to build understanding of how to create an effective paragraph by developing the success criteria.  Finally we ended our week with a visit from Jenny Kay Dupuis author of I am Not a Number, she shared her journey as a writer as we chronicled her grandma's experience at Residential School.

Can't wait for next week where we take our learning outside the classroom.

Have a great weekend!
