During our second week on school we are continuing to create a collaborative, respectful community whereby all learners are willing to take a risk.

Today was International Dot Day where students where ask to consider how they will make their Mark on the world and unleash their creativity.

READING:  students are welcome to bring a books in to read in the classroom, they are also invited to borrow books from our classroom library to read in the classroom.  Class presentation will start this Friday!

DAILY reading at home is encouraged.  When the school library schedule is created we will be visiting it to sign out books for enjoyment and/or research.  The Toronto Library is a wonderful place to borrow and sign out books or ebooks.

INDOOR/OUTDOOR SHOES:  it would be helpful for students to bring in a second pair of shoes to leave at school (in lockers) to wear during the instructional day.  This minimizes dirt on our classroom floor as we do sit on the floor often; as well as to ensure safety in the gym during physical activities.

MATH:
Practice your 2 timestable daily at home

POETRY: Share your thoughts and reflections on the following big idea question:
Describe what you know about poetry?
Click on the following link (POETRY PADLET LINK) and share your response so that we can build upon each others linking.

Thank you to my amazing students who amaze me each day and who continue to build a strong community @tdsb pic.twitter.com/yb7i7tuzJ7
